Zombie Make-Up by botjira Zombie Make-Up by botjira
Trying to do zombie make-up
My film class budget is too miserable to hire anyone professional
It is a lot of fun even though I'm no good at it!!

I'm curious, what did you use to create the raised parts? I'm trying to make my own semi-realistic zombie costume for Halloween, and I'm still trying to find the putty everyone seems to use... Also, the wet looking red; what is that/what could a college student use to replicate that?

You don't have to answer, if you want, I'd understand.

Hi! I used flesh-tone surgical tape, crumpled them, and taped them as a base. This gives the illusion of raised skin! You can get it pretty cheap in most pharmacies!

Most recipes call for liquid latex, but it's curiously not available where I live..

For the wet looking red, it's just cheap drugstore nail varnish. Put a protective layer of tape or whatever before slapping it on though!

Most of the stuff I used here are super cheap, since the school had a budget of $0 :s

I know that feel. I'm trying to go for a realistic zombie costume, but I'm a college student, so it's not as if I can go order professional make-up for it. And the latex and putty aren't available anywhere near where I am either, it's very strange.

I'll definitely try the surgical tape, and the varnish idea. Thank you! c:
